| In addition to practicing martial arts, the students of Wang’s Martial Arts are frequently exposed to several other cultural elements and traditions. In the month of October, the students, family, and friends of Wang's Martial Arts took a trip to Chinatown where they sampled Korean barbeque and many other delicious side dishes at Arirang. Marinated meats were cooked fresh on the table and other delightful dishes were brought out frequently for tasting. Following barbeque, everyone strolled in a group through the shops, bakeries, and a myriad of other stores in Chinatown. The weather was pleasant and so was the company. It seemed that everyone had something to bring back home with them. For some it was Chinese coins from a shop. For others it was sweets from the bakery, and still for others it was pictures and memories from a taste of the Far East found right here in Houston. | |||||||||||||||||
